We had another successful Tractor Pull. Thank you to Rich Braesch for all of the hard work he puts
into making it a success. We really appreciate all of the behind the scenes work he has to do in order to
make it such a fun event and it even turned a nice little profit for the club!
At the August meeting, a motion was brought to the club about possibly selling the grist mill and the
trolley. The storage of both of these is $1,200, plus the cost of licensing the trolley. The trolley does not
get used. There has been conflicting information on the liability, what’s covered, who’s covered, etc., if
someone from the club is pulling it and where. The motion to sell the trolley was made by Cheryl Dillon.
The vote was passed with only 2 nays. There could be a potential buyer. As of this moment, nothing
has been done to research the potential value of the trolley. If you have any questions regarding this,
please contact Cheryl Dillon at cdillon418@gmail.com or (402) 630-6147.
A reminder to all members that in November we will be electing 4 new members to the executive team:
Vice President, Secretary, and two Board Members. If you haven’t previously volunteered your time or
if it has been a while since you held a leadership position, please consider volunteering your time and
talents. Last year we didn’t have any volunteers and the same people were asked to hold their positions
for two years. We cannot have another year like that, so please give some serious thought to running
for one of the open positions.
