One minute it looks like spring might actually be here, then we get a blizzard, then we get 80 degrees. It doesn’t matter how long we’ve lived in Nebraska, we get fooled by it every year! Hopefully everyone has survived the roller coaster winter we’ve had!
HJ might be done coaching basketball, but as every sports fan knows March is all about the madness! HJ was so excited that he was ranked 9th in the country according to ESPN, until Saturday when Tennessee lost in grand fashion! We’ve been doing a little March Madness at school as well, but instead of letting the kids bet on basketball, I enrolled my students in March Mammal Madness. If you’ve got younger kids or grandkids, pop on YouTube and search for the 2025 March Mammal Madness videos. The program has been going on for 13 years, so they’ve got more than just mammals in there now, but each ‘bracket’ introduces the kids to animals they have never heard of before and it’s just a fun little competition.
We’re getting into our ‘busy’ season in the tractor club. Keep watching the email for any updates on parades or shows. At this time, your most complete list is on the first page, but things seem to change frequently. Make sure to attend this month’s meeting where we will be presenting our donation to COPE.
It seems really weird to congratulate the member of the year when it was me, so I won’t. Instead I want to thank everyone for the honor. You have been very patient with this city girl as she learns to navigate the antique tractor world and all of its lingo.
